some teal at lin-dike some good shots. this was after going to see the "smew" which i failed to do. also saw a butterfly :( just drives the global warming point home

at the feeding station-long tailed tits, and the usual suspects

at the boardwalk-3 black swans, tufted duck and the usual suspects

the 3 other hides had some courting great cresatsed grebes beautifuly seen throught the spotting scope doing their dance and passing weed. as i was scouting the island i noticed some of the gulls had black heads and i thought for a moment that i had seen a mediteran gull but i failed to re-find it. then as luck would have it i get home and bingo-birdguides-meditereanan gull fairburn-ings. now that makes up for no smew or lesser-spotted woodpecker.
