malham cove-wednesday

we went for a walk. unfortunatly it lost its spectaculararity becuase of the mist. bird wise it was soemwhat lacking but i managed to see a dipper or two. the village and town were the highest concentrations of birds
collard doves
blackbirds
mallards
blue tit
crows of various
half a shrew-(frozen)

    Are you sure that is a house Sparrow? Looks more like a tree sparrow to me.

  2. it has a black chest only found in house sparrows (i think!!) so i think that house sparrow is more likely. however the head is quite brown so it may be that it is a hybrid!
