It was a grueling flight out to Peru, staying 12 hours overnight in Amsterdam, having traveled straight to the airport from a bachelor's party in Edinburg. Still, somehow I managed it, arriving in Peru a little less than fresh. Once at the airport and through all the entry requirements it was already late afternoon, I met up with Rich, Gray and Bill as they were dealing with car hire troubles. But once we had been able to put that behind us, we were able to set off on our way into the Andes, passing through the chaos that is Lima. The only birds we saw were Black Vultures and Feral Pigeons, so not much to write home about there.
