ogden-monday night

In order to get out of the house tonight me and my mum and dad went for a walk around ogden! When we got out we found this sipder posing nicly on the back of mydads car, so I took some photo of it!

But obviously being so late in the evening there was not a great deal happening, and the reservoir was very low. the gulls had started roosting, or gathering at least, on the far side of the res to the visitor center.

the walk produced anything of any real value although we did find a common hawker dragonfl whizzing around at one of the small dams

on the moors we only found this violet ground bettle, whos sides were glowing bright blue in the evening light. sadly, the light being so poor, none of the photos I took came out very well!

day 8/day 1

a woodland day
gone to a campsite where nightjars where regularly heard but so far never seen probably becuase the campsite owners said that they had-"been looking for them with torches, and in the day" FAIL!. the campsite was very beautiful. the toilets were full of moths, including my first green moth by the washing up area. it was surrounded by prisitne woodland where in the evening wewent for a walk. this is what we saw.

blackcap
roe deer
violet beetle-it moved the leaflitter so much we thought it must be a mole
bat
heard a nightjar
