He really is a stunning bird and its so great that this is the garden that he chooses, although its not surprising the ammount of food we give them. I was hoping that he would come back again.
And with luck he did, although when he returned a day later, it was slightly more overcast so The light was better for picking out his features. Once again, he loitered around the bushes and then flitted between the bush and the feeder, offering me superb views.
another great record for the garden. He has stuck around longer than this too, in fact, he is sat in the bush preening even now, as I write this! so there you go, he obviously saw it last year on that one occasion and made a note to come back, and has done.
The only drawback, is that the breif appearance made by the linnets a few weeks ago has been a one off and that they have not shown their faces again. Its sad, but I'm sure that they will stick around.
Great photos Daniel and a cracking bird to get in the garden, keep up the good work
