Undisclosed Location

Leaving Spurn is always difficult but I decided to head up the coast to Northumberland to show Lia a few other species not so easy to see at Spurn. On the way up we called off in the Durham moors to see Black Grouse. This was only my second time seeing this species in Britain. At the first location we spotted maybe 25 – 30 individuals in one field feeding among the sheep. And then, as we were leaving the site, we found two more males perched up on the wall next to the road. They were so close I was unable to fit the whole bird into my photo, but still a fantastic experience and a really enjoyable morning.
