Brazil; Maranhão - Day 7

We only had a couple of hours for our final morning in the city of Sao Luis, and most of that was spent packing or having breakfast. Still from our window, we were able to spy two Green Iguanas, one of which was dozing on the wall of the car park itself, and the other in a nearby tree.

At the airport there were a few birds despite the late morning heat, and these included a Brazil tick for me with Blue-grey Tanager, the Amazonian equivalent of the much more familiar Sayaca Tanager which I have regularly encountered around Sao Paulo.

And with that, our short trip to the north ends. Now on to the next phase of my return to Brazil…

Species List:
Aeroporto Internacional de São Luís: Black Vulture, Turkey Vulture, Crested Caracara, Tropical Kingbird, Fork-tailed Flycatcher, Grey-breasted Martin, Blue-grey Tanager,
