a gorgeous picture of migrating geese at sunset

a gorgeous picture
not much happening this evening but a cracking sunset with bats flying all around. much to my annoyance, you may (will) remeber the LBBG last time that gave me the slip into it being a yellow-legged gull. well i can tell you now that its still there.
also mallards, canada geese and black headed gulls plus a new herring gull on the area. carrion crows were playing on the boats.

east coast holiday day 1 saturday

we arrived at the campsite at 7.00pm so this wasnt really a day. it was surrounded by a forestry commision forest so that evening we went for a walk. it was twighlight and as we walked about we saw chiffchaffs and later bats too. we also spotted a roe deer. my dad thought it was a stump because as i clapped and yelled it just stood there. however when the camera flash went off it spooked and ran away barking.

tree sparrow- there was a nest on the campsite in a birdbox

beautiful pictures off the surrounding farmland
werewolves do exist-record shot!!
actually its the roe deer photo i explained about earlier but you would never guess
i wonder if the farmer gets bad reception
i also found a blue tit nest it a really tiny crack in the farmers garage wall. it was really interesting watching the parents fly in and out.
we also saw a kestrel whilst driving down

day 10/day 3

went to an aquarium today so not many natural animals. stoped off at a reserve on the way home and went for a walk in the woods

toad in the tent this morning

reserve

redshank
little egret
curlew
black tailed godwit
common tern

walk in the woods
went on the walk to look at a pond but then chose a different way home which got us lost then we found our way back to a part of the trail we knew so my dad decided to take another trail he didnt know. we ended up at a junction. we decided that, at the time, it was best to take the route that led to the road which was a mistake because the other route (unbenownst to us) led back the caravan. so then we found ourselves on a road we didnt know and had to walk a very long way to find a road we did.

nightjar-woowwweeee, my first
bat

well worth getting lost for

day 8/day 1

a woodland day
gone to a campsite where nightjars where regularly heard but so far never seen probably becuase the campsite owners said that they had-"been looking for them with torches, and in the day" FAIL!. the campsite was very beautiful. the toilets were full of moths, including my first green moth by the washing up area. it was surrounded by prisitne woodland where in the evening wewent for a walk. this is what we saw.

blackcap
roe deer
violet beetle-it moved the leaflitter so much we thought it must be a mole
bat
heard a nightjar
