Yorkshire Dales Holiday Day 2

The weather let us down today, so we decided to go to Hawes and do some shopping. First we went to the wennslydale cheese factory and then mooched around town. Its a nice town and I was able to pick up a book I had been looking for. (Fellowship of the ring)
Driving around we saw quite a bit: curlews, lapwings and oystercatchers as well as possible teals and wigeons, though I'm not sure about the last two.
After Hawes we headed to Leyburn, where we got good views of pied wagtails and jackdaws, but nothing really exciting happened.
We ended up back at the caravan site where I had a bit more luck in that I was finally able to grab a record shot of the tree sparrows that have been coming to our feeder. Sadly its through the windows, so it really is just a record shot. We also had house sparrows, greenfinch, chaffinch, blackbird and song thrush among others.

Hopefully tomorrow the weather will pick up and we will be able to go exploring again.
