Had a morning away from Soil Hill to check some of the other sites around
Calderdale. I took some time to visit one of the Twite feeding stations high up on
the moors. Given the catastrophic decline of this species on the Pennines it is
always good to make sure to see them while I still can. Upon arrival I could
only see Linnets enjoying the Nyjer seed, with up to 12 gorging themselves, but
after a 20-minute wait three Twite dropped in and began to tuck in. I spent a
short while watching them, and listening to their jangling calls, before I left
them to it.

Great captures. Warm greetings from Montreal. I actually saw a turkey here on a college campus last week. I saw one last November in front of a metro station. Canada 🇨🇦 geese sure travel well.
