Tuesday
While walking to lectures I heard my first swifts of the year and my first ever in Sheffield. I could not find the birds, nor could I really stop to look, but it can still go down on the record as my first 'screaming' of the year.
Thursday
Sat in my room I could hear the call of Long-Tailed Tits outside the window. I failed to track them down initially but later that afternoon I spotted one in the tree directly outside my window. Its another great bird to add to the list of birds seen outside my halls' window.
